USAREUR
Vehicles and Units of the U.S. Army in Europe 1992-2005
After the Iron Curtain had fallen in 1990 the strategic scenario in Europe changed dramatically. There was no longer a need for a large U.S. armed forces presence. In 1990 USAREUR (US ARmy EURope) still fielded 213,000 soldiers, a number that was cut in half only two years later. This publication grants an overview on the USAREUR organisation and the U.S. military vehicles in service on German soil between the last REFORGER exercises 1992 and the transformation of the army in 2005.
